Mark S. Jefferies, DMD

Journey to Dentistry
A Hagerstown native, Dr. Jefferies’ career began with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Education. He loved the arts and painting, but teaching didn’t allow for enough hands-on artistry. After soul searching, research, and conversations with family and friends, he found his way to dentistry.
Dental Education
He went on to complete his advanced Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While there, he received High Honors on the National Boards of Dentistry and was awarded an Endowed Prize Award for Ethics.
Advanced Training
As a lifelong learner, Dr. Jefferies completed education courses from highly acclaimed organizations like the Dawson Academy, Spear Education for Advanced Dental Studies, the Piper Education and Research Center, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Cosmetic Excellence
In addition to delivering a full menu of family and restorative care, Dr. Jefferies delivers expert cosmetic solutions that create natural smiles, are minimally invasive, and include meticulous and collaborative planning with patients.
Home Life
He loves spending time with his wife, two children, and their Labradoodle. He also enjoys running, triathlons, motorcycling (dual sport and road), and his family role as a small farmhouse maintenance man. You might also find him fishing with his daughter or cheering on his son in flag football and basketball.
Dr. Kim
Journey to Dentistry
In her home country of South Korea, Dr. Kim’s cousin owns a dental practice and first sparked her interest in the field. In pursuit of her dream career, Dr. Kim studied abroad in both Arkansas and Pennsylvania before graduating from University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s in Biology. She then went on to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in Florida. During her last year of dental school, Dr. Kim and her husband welcomed their first child, Maeve, into the world. They currently reside in Centreville, VA.
